Flossing Tips

You won’t get the tooth surfaces between the teeth with a toothbrush, so it is important to brush at least once a day. Everyone should floss before bed, but if you can do this after every meal you are even better off.

The process of flossing your teeth is rather simple:

  1. Cut a piece of dental floss, about 2 feet long.
  2. Wrap each end of the floss around your middle fingers.
  3. Move the floss down between each tooth then back out again, controlling the movement with your index fingers and thumbs. Make sure you hug the floss to the surface of the tooth so you are not cutting your gum at the bottom point.
